SAN FRANCISCO: Apple's (AAPL.O) worldwide battery improvement boss, Ahn Soonho, has moved to Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE) to lead the automaker's advancement of electric vehicle batteries, as indicated by his LinkedIn profile.
This is the second time as of late that an Apple leader has left for an automaker. Apple lost its head of vehicle project, Doug Field, to Ford Motor (F.N) in September.
Ahn this month became the boss of the innovation official at the battery division of Volkswagen Group Components, as indicated by his LinkedIn profile.
In 2018, Apple recruited Ahn, a previous leader at Samsung SDI's cutting-edge batteries division. Mac utilizes batteries in its cell phones and workstations, however, electric vehicles are under development.
